Digitalisation Project Leader – Transport Operating System

About the role

The Transport Operating System (ATOS) stream of Airbus' OPTIFLOW program seeks a senior leader to drive the digital transformation of global freight operations. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Transport, you will define and implement the end‑to‑end ATOS setup, governance model and digital toolset across Airbus Commercial Aircraft supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Design and launch the Inbound Control Tower covering all supplier‑to‑warehouse and plant‑to‑plant flows.
• Define the make‑or‑buy strategy, organizational principles and performance management framework.
• Deploy a suite of digital tools including real‑time transport visibility, Transport Management System (TMS), ticketing, freight invoice audit and optimisation solutions.
• Establish the project framework (WBS, OBS, deliverables) and select the appropriate methodology (Agile, CARE, etc.).
• Steer the governance model to ensure operational delivery without disrupting business continuity.
• Implement change‑management plans, up‑skill teams and redesign the transport network to achieve cost savings and resilience.
• Monitor success through defined KPIs and report progress to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale transport or logistics digitalisation projects.
• Experience managing budgets of €150 M and teams of around 20 professionals.
• Strong understanding of global freight operations, 4PL/3PL models and supply‑chain data structures.
• Ability to work across multiple regions (Europe, US, Asia) and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
