Design Supplier Quality Specialist

About the role

ATR, the world leader in regional aircraft, is seeking a Design Supplier Quality Specialist to ensure that all design suppliers meet the company’s rigorous engineering and regulatory standards. You will act as the primary quality liaison for engineering and design suppliers, driving continuous improvement and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify and oversee design suppliers delivering engineering outputs, ensuring compliance with ATR Design Organization Approval (DOA) requirements.
• Manage a portfolio of design suppliers, monitor performance, and implement improvement plans.
• Coordinate with ATR Engineering, Program teams, and stakeholders to develop unified action plans for significant supplier quality issues.
• Plan, lead, and conduct design product and process audits for supplier qualification and surveillance.
• Assess and monitor suppliers’ organizational acceptance status in line with DOA requirements.
• Serve as the focal point for all quality matters related to engineering/design suppliers.
• Represent ATR during supplier selection, RFx, maturity gates, and up to the Critical Design Review phase.
• Liaise with external authorities such as EASA on design supplier oversight and compliance.

Required profile

• Degree in Quality, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of aerospace experience, including at least 5 years in engineering quality, certification or auditing.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace regulatory standards (EASA/FAR Part 21J, ISO 17025, EN 9100).
• Proven experience auditing design supplier quality management systems.
• Solid understanding of aircraft systems and aerostructure design processes.
• Expertise in quality tools and root‑cause analysis (8D, Ishikawa, 5‑Why).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
