Data Analysis Internship

About the role

Gulf Associates is seeking a motivated Data Analysis Intern to support a French multinational client’s market entry and capital deployment strategy. This fully remote, full‑time internship will give you hands‑on experience in gathering, cleaning, and interpreting quantitative data that informs high‑stakes commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and clean large quantitative datasets related to the client’s expansion activities.
• Conduct detailed research on counterparties, competitors, and regulatory trends.
• Identify patterns in capital flows and market behaviour.
• Draft concise data summaries for senior‑partner reports.
• Cross‑reference external market data with internal records to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in developing data‑backed negotiation scenarios.
• Monitor public filings and announcements to keep client records current.
• Support preparation of internal briefings focused on practical market realities.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in data organisation and basic statistical analysis.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet software and ability to manage large datasets independently.
• Clear, concise writing skills prioritising facts.
• Commercial curiosity and interest in large‑scale deal dynamics.
• Meticulous attention to detail when verifying figures and sources.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Academic or project experience in economics, finance, or a related analytical field.
• Logical problem‑solving approach.
