Cyber Security Engineer – Computer Emergency Response Team

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join the Airbus CERT in Toulouse. The role focuses on handling cybersecurity incidents, detecting threats and protecting Airbus’s digital assets across the aerospace and defence sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate technical cyber‑attacks and perform digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) activities.
• Contribute to threat‑hunting improvement through industrialisation of intrusion detection.
• Participate in the architecture and development of new detection & response and DFIR tools.
• Perform threat intelligence on attacker groups targeting the aerospace and defence industry.
• Represent Airbus CERT in working groups, security conferences and research publications.

Required profile

• Academic background in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Experience in threat detection or incident response.
• Experience in reverse engineering.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multinational and complex environment and coordinate with teams across business units and locations.
