Cost Accountant (Finance) - Marignane

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Cost Accountant to join its Finance Department at the Marignane site, near Marseille and Aix-en-Provence. The role supports current activities and transformation projects while finance processes are being reformed, giving a solid grounding in finance processes between operational needs and legal obligations. The position is permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Define worldwide cost accounting guidelines and communicate them across the finance community (accounting, controlling, pricing, price audit) in parent companies and customer centres.
• Define and maintain the mechanism that turns generated costs into a P&L by destination, compliant with management needs and reporting requirements, including cost allocation settlements.
• Manage internal control requirements.
• Support functional cost accounting, including cost centre and allocation key master data, chargeback allocation and hourly rate checks.
• Configure the AH and AHD systems and run closing operations.
• Advise and support customer centres, contribute to ERP projects and act as an interface between ERP, reporting standardisation and automation, and planning and predictive consolidation initiatives.

Required profile

• 6 to 8 years of experience in accounting or controlling.
• Degree in business administration (master or bachelor) in accounting, controlling or a similar field.
• Fluent English (reading, writing and speaking) is mandatory; advanced French and German are helpful.
• Experience in a multicultural environment and in activity management and follow-up (agile methodologies preferred).
• Autonomous, flexible, curious, entrepreneurial and customer-oriented, with strong communication skills and a team spirit.
• Business trips are required, mainly to Donauwörth and Albacete.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of ERP technologies based on SAP, with several years of experience with SAP products for finance.
• Deep knowledge of IT implementations for finance.
