Controlling Manager – Commercial Finance

About the role

The Controlling Manager (Commercial Finance) acts as a key finance business partner for the Sales & Marketing organization in France‑Benelux. You will drive financial performance, provide strategic insights, and ensure commercial initiatives align with financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly closing for assigned channels, delivering P&L reporting, variance analysis and KPI tracking.
• Support sales teams with scenario planning, financial modeling and visibility of commercial drivers.
• Validate business cases, pricing, promotions and customer negotiations to protect profitability.
• Monitor commercial accruals, rebates and balance‑sheet items while ensuring compliance with Group policies.
• Drive process improvements in forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency and data quality using Power BI, SAP and AFO.
• Manage and develop a direct‑report controller and coordinate with local finance, sales, supply‑chain and shared‑service teams.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in controlling or commercial finance, preferably in FMCG, retail or consumer‑products environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate numbers into actionable business insights.
• Proven experience managing a small finance team and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
