About the role
Arrive, a global mobility platform, is looking for an experienced commercial lawyer to join its Legal Team. You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements and give advice on complex commercial matters, working across software and hardware product lines with a focus on the Transport business unit. You will report to a Deputy General Counsel and partner with business leaders, sales, product and other stakeholders. The role is primarily focused on France, with responsibilities across Europe and the world, and is a hybrid position based in Paris.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements covering transit partnerships, smart mobility solutions, SaaS, software licensing, hardware manufacturing, supply chain, distribution and vendor agreements.
- Structure and negotiate high-value transport deals with Transport business unit leaders, including MaaS contracts, and advise sales and business development teams.
- Provide legal guidance across software and hardware product lines and identify and assess commercial and legal risks.
- Work with product, commercial, sales and business development teams, and support complex commercial projects across France, Europe and other markets.
- Leverage AI and emerging technologies to optimise workflows and streamline contract lifecycles.
- Help build commercial playbooks, template libraries and guidelines, and deliver training for commercial, product and sales teams.
Required profile
- Law degree from a reputable European university (Master en Droit, LLM or equivalent).
- Active legal credentials or certification in a European jurisdiction; admission to the Paris Bar / CAPA is a strong plus.
- 6+ years of experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial transactions, ideally in-house at a multinational technology company and at a prestigious law firm.
- Experience supporting transport, urban mobility or smart city deals, including public procurement processes.
- Fluent French and English; additional languages are an asset.
Required skills
- Strong business acumen and the ability to turn complex legal concepts into clear, actionable advice.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail, multitasking and risk awareness in fast-moving environments.
- Willingness to embrace AI and emerging technologies.
