Commercial Controller – Business Unit Coffee & Food Preparation

About the role

The Commercial Controller supports Sales Management in driving profitable growth for the Business Unit (BU) Coffee & Food Preparation. Acting as a key business partner, you will provide financial insight, performance analysis, and strategic guidance to BU leadership and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly commercial performance closing, delivering variance analysis, actionable insights, and high‑quality management reporting.
• Safeguard profitability through pricing and commercial governance, overseeing customer programs, rebates, contracts, and cost structures.
• Define, track, and challenge core commercial KPIs (price, volume, mix, margin) and steer performance with sales leaders.
• Analyze sales and margin performance across products, markets, channels, brands, and key customers, turning analysis into recommendations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and risk management processes, building scenario analyses and tracking forecast accuracy.
• Analyze and optimize working capital drivers, lead cost‑control initiatives, and support operational efficiency.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales and Marketing, challenging assumptions on pricing and promotions.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate numbers into clear narratives.
• Experience in commercial controlling, pricing governance, and KPI management.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, marketing, and finance teams.
• Excellent communication skills to influence leadership decisions.
