Cockpit Displays System Designer – Toulouse

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Cockpit Displays System Designer to join its System Cockpit & Avionics Platform Engineering Design department in Toulouse, France. You will work on next‑generation display systems for best‑selling aircraft, contributing to autonomy, advanced interaction technologies and overall cockpit evolution.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to functional requirements convergence at the upstream level.
• Deliver technical specifications and system interface documents in coordination with interfaced functions.
• Drive the development process, including supplier reviews, laboratory and aircraft testing, and certification activities.
• Provide the necessary data and documentation to subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Promote agile and innovative ways of working with experts, system architects, safety specialists and certification teams.

Required profile

• Experience in cockpit display system development, from specification through verification and validation.
• Ability to monitor supplier activities and collaborate with the Airbus Flight Test centre.
• Strong communication skills to work with cockpit operation teams, human‑factors experts, pilots and flight‑test engineers.
• Proactive attitude towards new technologies such as head‑mounted displays, tactile interfaces and interactive systems.
