Cloud Software Developer Apprentice

About the role

As a Cloud Software Developer Apprentice at Netatmo, you will work with experienced cloud engineers to design, develop, operate and continuously improve micro‑services and data pipelines that support our connected consumer‑electronics ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using PHP, Rust and Node.js/TypeScript.
• Work with NoSQL databases and handle real‑time asynchronous data flows with Kafka.
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring and scaling of services on Azure Cloud.
• Write clean, testable code and follow CI/CD practices with GitLab pipelines.
• Participate in debugging, performance analysis and reliability improvements of production systems.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Mobile, Embedded, Security and Product teams on feature delivery.
• Take part in design discussions, technical reviews and documentation.
• Learn and apply industry‑standard cloud engineering methods such as observability and resilience patterns.

Required profile

• Good understanding of backend development, preferably with PHP and/or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with NoSQL database concepts.
• Interest in cloud technologies, micro‑services and data pipelines.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative, fast‑moving environment and learn from senior engineers.
