Cabin & Cargo Mechanical Equipment Engineer – In‑Service

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Cabin & Cargo Mechanical Equipment Engineer to join its In‑Service Engineering department in Toulouse, France. The engineer will support the complete in‑service fleet, from early wide‑body models to the latest A350, A330neo and A321XLR, providing technical assistance on cabin and cargo systems.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical referent for one or two assigned cabin and cargo equipment perimeters, handling daily customer queries via the Tech Request Manager tool.
• Monitor in‑service events, identify recurring or safety issues and initiate corrective actions through Major In‑service Problem (MISP) or Request For Work (RFW) processes.
• Provide on‑site assistance, standby support during overnight and weekend periods, and deliver technical follow‑up and information to airlines.
• Participate in meetings, webinars and regional conferences, and contribute to expert forums and workshops as required.
• Review documentation for new programmes, support change‑request processes and author Pre‑Defined Solutions (PDS).

Required profile

• Engineering degree with experience in aircraft systems, preferably cabin and cargo equipment.
• Fluent written and spoken English for customer and design‑office communication.
• Strong presentation, coordination and customer‑service orientation.
• Team player with adaptability and flexibility to work with internal and external stakeholders.
