Cabin & Cargo Mechanical Equipment Engineer – In‑Service

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Cabin & Cargo Mechanical Equipment Engineer to join its In‑Service Engineering department in Toulouse. You will become a technical reference for cabin and cargo systems across the entire Airbus commercial fleet, from legacy wide‑body aircraft to the latest A350, A330neo and A321XLR.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily technical assistance to airlines via the Tech Request Manager tool and direct communication.
• Monitor in‑service events, identify recurring or safety issues and initiate corrective actions through Major In‑service Problem (MISP) or Request For Work (RFW) processes.
• Participate in the creation, authoring and review of Pre‑Defined Solutions (PDS) and deliver In‑Service Information (ISI) and Technical Follow‑Up (TFU) to customers.
• Perform standby duties during nights and weekends and deliver on‑site support when required.
• Mentor newcomers, including apprentices, interns and temporary staff, through technical training sessions (optional).

Required profile

• Strong technical background in cabin and cargo mechanical equipment.
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex technical queries from airlines.
• Willingness to work on‑call, including overnight and weekend standby.
• Good communication skills for interaction with customers and internal engineering teams.
