Cabin & Cargo Mechanical Equipment Engineer – In‑Service

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Cabin & Cargo Mechanical Equipment Engineer to join its In‑Service Engineering department in Toulouse. You will support the complete in‑service fleet, from the first wide‑body models to the latest A350, A330neo and A321XLR, providing technical assistance on cabin and cargo systems.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical referent for one or two designated cabin and cargo equipment perimeters.
• Respond to daily customer queries through the Tech Request Manager tool and follow‑up via phone or direct discussion with airlines.
• Mentor newcomers, including apprentices, interns and temporary staff, by delivering technical training sessions.
• Perform standby duties during nights and weekends and provide on‑site assistance when required.
• Monitor in‑service events, identify recurring or safety issues and initiate corrective actions by creating Major In‑service Problems (MISP) or Requests For Work (RFW).
• Develop, author and review Pre‑Defined Solutions (PDS) and supply In‑Service Information (ISI) to customers.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in aircraft cabin and cargo mechanical equipment.
• Strong technical knowledge of Airbus cabin and cargo systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with airline customers and internal engineering teams.
• Willingness to work on standby shifts and travel for on‑site support.
• Motivation to mentor and train junior colleagues.
