Business Accounting Specialist – Finance

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Business Accounting Specialist to join its Finance team in Toulouse. The role ensures accurate application of accounting standards, supports controlling teams with accounting queries, and contributes to audit readiness through clear justification of accounting treatments.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary accounting contact for Controlling teams, providing guidance and resolving accounting‑related questions.
• Coordinate with Controlling Program teams to translate operational impacts into correct accounting entries.
• Collaborate with Consolidation, Country Accounting, and Technical Accounting experts to ensure consistent reporting across regions.
• Apply IFRS/GAAP standards, including IFRS 15, to business transactions and complex contracts.
• Review and validate accounting requirements for new and existing programs, designing efficient reporting schemes.
• Identify discrepancies and propose actions to optimise accounting processes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP accounting standards.
• Experience analysing complex contracts and supporting technical accounting assessments.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional finance teams and external auditors.
