Back-End Engineer (PHP / Symfony)

About the role

Youtrust is a European digital trust platform founded in 2013, offering document, identity and business verification, compliance checks and electronic signatures. It is multi-tenant and multi-country, built to launch in new markets quickly, and is ISO/IEC 27001 certified and compliant with eIDAS. You will join one of its autonomous squads, where developers, a Product Designer and a Product Manager work toward a shared OKR, and you will design, ship, deploy and maintain your own code.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build features with your squad, working toward a clear objective (OKR).
• Analyse product needs and propose a technical design documented in Architecture Decision Records.
• Keep code quality high: maintainable, testable code, design patterns and automated tests.
• Look after observability, performance and security, and keep shipped features running well in production.
• Use AI tools and agentic workflows to design, write, test and review code faster.
• Share progress regularly, take part in team life and work with Lean and agile methods (Scrum and Kanban, dailies, short iterations, demos and retrospectives).

Required profile

• Solid experience building products with real impact.
• Mastery of back-end development in PHP and at least one framework such as Symfony or Laravel.
• Experience with relational databases and an ORM, and knowledge of continuous integration principles.
• Clear communication, willingness to mentor others and good teamwork.
• English, written and spoken.
• Nice to have: full-stack affinity with React and TypeScript, experience in a B2B SaaS company or software vendor, and involvement in the tech community.

• React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Cypress (nice to have)
• AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex, including agents and multi-step workflows (must)

What we offer

• Salary of 50,000 to 59,000 EUR gross per year
