Back-End Developer

About the role

Sunrise Group is building a digital sleep clinic that delivers diagnosis and treatment at home. As a Back-End Developer you will help scale the platform, ensuring it is robust, secure, and compliant with healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python, Django, and related technologies.
• Create and evolve RESTful APIs for web, mobile, and third‑party integrations.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimise for scalability and reliability.
• Contribute to the overall architecture, ensuring maintainability and robustness.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with HIPAA and GDPR.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams in a fully remote environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing backend systems with Python and Django.
• Familiarity with healthcare data security and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across distributed teams.
