AI Software Engineer Intern

About the role

Qantev is an AI company transforming health insurance by building autonomous, multi‑step Agentic AI pipelines. As an AI Software Engineer Intern you will work on production‑grade systems that power our cutting‑edge products, gaining hands‑on experience at the intersection of data science and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy complex, multi‑step reasoning Agentic AI pipelines and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) applications.
• Contribute new features and enhancements to the core platform, including APIs, data‑processing pipelines, and user‑facing components.
• Build and scale robust systems using Python and TypeScript while maintaining high standards for code quality, performance, and reliability.
• Navigate a sophisticated codebase independently, translating complex requirements into elegant technical specifications.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, continuously improving system efficiency and development velocity.

Required profile

• Builder mindset – you create tools to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Currently pursuing a Master’s or Engineering degree at a Tier‑1 institution.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a large, complex codebase.
• Strong foundation in AI‑intensive systems (RAG & Agentic frameworks) and core computer‑science fundamentals.
• Product‑focused – you write code that delivers real user value.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.
