AI Engineer – Agent Platform

About the role

Shiftmove is building a production‑grade AI Agent Platform that powers multiple subsidiaries worldwide. As an AI Engineer you will bridge experimental AI research and robust software engineering, ensuring that autonomous agents operate reliably, accurately, and cost‑effectively at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance the internal Agent Platform (Python/Google ADK) by improving observability, token optimisation, and context management.
• Integrate state‑of‑the‑art LLMs such as Claude and Gemini into a modular backend.
• Design reasoning chains and workflows for autonomous agents, investigate failures, and build continuous evaluation loops.
• Define and implement logging, monitoring, and security standards to enable scalable AI operations.
• Create reusable patterns, frameworks, and code libraries that standardise agent development across the company.

Required profile

• Strong backend engineering background with experience building APIs and services.
• Passion for generative AI and a focus on identifying and fixing failure points in AI workflows.
• Ability to work in fast‑evolving architectures while prioritising maintainability.
