Accounting Manager, Holding Company

About the role

Saft, a specialist in high-technology batteries for industry and a wholly owned subsidiary of TotalEnergies, is looking for an Accounting Manager for its holding company. The post is based at the Levallois site, reports to the Accounting Manager and works within a six-person team.

Key responsibilities

• General accounting: record journal entries and adjustments, manage bank reconciliations across five accounts and cash pooling, perform monthly reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation, review and validate employee expense claims, monitor third-party and intercompany accounts, prepare and monitor invoicing with group subsidiaries, and monitor financial results including expenses and dividend income.
• Payroll and social accounting: reconcile and monitor payroll accounts, oversee DSN reviews and ensure compliance with social and tax declarations (DAS1).
• Tax, reporting and compliance: prepare and review VAT, DES, ORGANIC, CFE, CVAE and TVS filings, the annual transfer pricing declaration and corporate tax returns for the holding and another group entity, prepare annual financial statements and reporting booklets, prepare management reports with the statutory auditors, act as main contact for the auditors, and support anti-corruption compliance monitoring.

Required profile

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Audit.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position involving accounting, tax and regulatory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of French accounting principles and tax regulations, and solid understanding of intercompany transactions.
• Proven experience preparing annual financial statements and corporate tax returns.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, autonomy, organisational skills and discretion.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and good communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
