Account Manager

About the role

Rakuten Advertising, part of Rakuten International, is looking for an Account Manager in Paris. The role manages a portfolio of clients, acting as their liaison during the delivery of client service engagements or outsourced solutions. It focuses on keeping clients satisfied through consistent, proactive communication and on managing client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, coordinating complex interactions and resolving moderately challenging requests promptly.
• Analyze client feedback and data to spot trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Develop tailored client engagement plans aligned with business objectives.
• Implement client management best practices and document interactions in CRM systems.
• Grow revenue from existing clients by understanding their needs and offering suitable products and services.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders and recommend process improvements.
• Work with US/AUS/EMEA counterparts on affiliate initiatives, with publisher services on partnerships, and with the Analytics team on data interpretation.

Required profile

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience (5-7 years preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in a marketing field (required); Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of digital marketing experience including client service (agency, client or consulting).
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office, especially intermediate Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong client relationship skills, including negotiation, diplomacy and upselling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
