Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Toulouse

About the role

Scaleway is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join its growing SRE team in Toulouse. Reporting to the Lead SRE, you will help ensure the reliability and performance of cloud services used by thousands of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve tools and documentation for incident detection, diagnosis, and remediation.
• Troubleshoot high‑impact production issues in collaboration with multiple engineering teams.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and proactively mitigate incidents.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
• Contribute to the evolution of monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.

Required profile

• Professional experience developing in Go, Python or Rust.
• Strong system‑programming skills using Bash or Python scripts.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production failures.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) environments.
• Familiarity with cloud architectures including bare‑metal, virtual machines, containers and orchestrators.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, load‑balancing, IPv6, BGP and network virtualization.
• Fluent written and spoken English for technical documentation and communication.
