Product Engineer – Industrialisation

About the role

The Product Engineer – Industrialisation will scale apparel products from concept to full production while preserving quality, brand standards and the original design intent. You will act as the technical bridge between product development and bulk manufacturing, ensuring seamless hand‑over to vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Validate that products are manufacturable at scale without compromising design or aesthetics.
• Collaborate with Design, Development and Sourcing to confirm construction feasibility and final specifications.
• Lead material selection and component specification, ensuring fabrics and trims meet performance and design requirements.
• Optimize construction, material choices and component usage to meet margin and cost targets.
• Identify process efficiencies and material optimisation opportunities while preserving craftsmanship.
• Partner with Product Development to review design intent and ensure technical feasibility.
• Develop and document repeatable production processes, technical standards and manufacturing guidelines.
• Train and support factories on new styles, onboarding them to the company’s production capabilities.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise with proven experience in apparel product standards and testing.
• Ability to make decisions and confidently guide internal teams and external partners through engineering and testing processes.
• Collaborative mindset to work across Design, Development, Sourcing and factories.
