Country Manager – France (Paris)

About the role

The organisation is a high‑growth, privately owned retail financial services company seeking a commercially driven Country Manager to lead and scale its France operations from Paris. You will own revenue growth, profitability, operational performance and governance across a multi‑site retail portfolio, with a strong focus on customer experience and sustainable expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Full P&L ownership for France, delivering revenue, margin and conversion growth across retail, digital and partner channels.
• Lead multi‑site retail operations, ensuring consistent execution, service standards and regulatory compliance.
• Develop Area Managers and senior sales leaders, embedding a performance‑led culture.
• Optimize pricing, promotions, staffing models and incentive frameworks.
• Own annual planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost‑to‑serve optimisation.
• Identify and deliver growth initiatives such as new site openings, footprint optimisation and local partnerships.
• Drive customer experience improvements through standards, training and feedback loops.
• Strengthen performance management using data and analytics (sales mix, productivity, conversion, NPS/CSAT).
• Partner with product, risk and operations teams to implement new services and process improvements.
• Manage key stakeholders including airports, landlords, suppliers and strategic partners.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years senior leadership experience in multi‑site retail, financial services, travel retail, telecoms, hospitality or similar high‑volume consumer services.
• Proven track record of driving growth, turnaround or transformation in distributed operations.
• Demonstrated P&L ownership with strong commercial judgement and pricing discipline.
• Experience improving customer experience and team capability through coaching and standards.
• Hands‑on, credible leader with strong stakeholder management skills.
