About the role

Our Metals Recovery division, a multinational leader in metal recycling, is expanding its presence in the French market. We are seeking a Commercial Purchasing professional to lead the acquisition of ferrous and non‑ferrous scrap across southeastern France.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate purchase prices and commercial terms based on market conditions, material quality and volumes.
• Verify type, quality and quantity of scrap (steel, aluminum, copper, etc.) during assessment.
• Manage documentation and ensure compliance with environmental and traceability regulations.
• Coordinate collection and delivery logistics, maintaining high supplier satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, metal price fluctuations and demand patterns.
• Develop and sustain a network of reliable suppliers, fostering long‑term relationships.
• Set commercial objectives for volume and margin, and report regularly to management.
• Handle supplier claims and complaints efficiently.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience (purchasing or sales) in recycling or metal recovery.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Result‑oriented, able to work independently.
• Valid driving licence.
• Native French speaker; intermediate English or Spanish.
• Commercial orientation, proactivity and professional ethics.
