Business Development Manager – Life Sciences

About the role

TransPerfect is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth within the Life Sciences sector. You will be responsible for identifying, nurturing, and closing new business opportunities, while delivering exceptional service to existing clients.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and close new client relationships through referrals, cold calling, networking, tradeshows and industry events.
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, overseeing each stage from lead generation to contract signing.
• Maintain long‑term client relationships by providing elite service and industry‑specific insights.
• Develop and execute sales plans to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
• Conduct daily outreach via direct mail, digital marketing and cold calls.
• Present TransPerfect’s language and technology solutions in one‑on‑one, group, virtual and in‑person meetings.
• Manage client expectations, advise on best practices, and handle pricing and contractual negotiations.
• Travel domestically and internationally for conferences and client meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience or strong knowledge of the Life Sciences or localisation industry.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and take ownership of client success.
• High level of integrity and a service‑focused mindset.
