EHS Program Manager – Data Center Construction

About the role

Google is looking for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Program Manager to lead the electrical safety program for data center construction projects in France. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with Google Cloud’s EHS standards and local regulations while fostering a culture of safety excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own the EHS program for data‑center construction sites in France, acting as the primary advisor to internal stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental and safety risks throughout design, construction, and operational phases.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the global EHS electrical safety framework, ensuring alignment with NFPA 70E and other relevant standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to integrate safety requirements into project plans.
• Monitor and report operational safety metrics, driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, EHS, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction‑focused EHS roles.
• Hands‑on experience with electrical safety standards (e.g., US NFPA 70E).
• Fluent communication skills in English (and Finnish as required for client relationships).
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to read and interpret construction plans.
