Tax Specialist – EU & French Tax Compliance

About the role

The Tax Specialist will lead tax coordination for the French subsidiary and EU‑wide operations, ensuring full compliance with French GAAP, EU tax regulations and group tax policies. The role supports cross‑border business decisions and mitigates tax risks across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage EU and French tax compliance, overseeing domestic and cross‑border tax obligations.
• Specialize in cross‑border VAT administration, including calculation, reverse charge, filing, deduction and reconciliation for France, Italy and other EU states.
• Lead end‑to‑end transfer pricing management, documentation and optimisation for intra‑group transactions.
• Develop and maintain tax internal control systems, liaise with internal audit, external auditors and French tax authorities.
• Monitor French and EU tax policy updates and provide strategic advice to multi‑country business teams.
• Maintain relationships with external parties such as tax authorities, banks and EU tax agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or related fields; French accounting qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of finance experience in France or the EU, preferably in a manufacturing MNC.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of the French business environment, tax regulations and cultural customs.
