Security Project Manager – Cyber Defense Programme

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Management Consultant to lead multiple cybersecurity and Security Operations Centre (SOC) transformation projects for a global insurance and financial services organisation. The role will support a senior‑executive‑sponsored Cyber Defense Programme that spans more than 50 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Define, organise and manage activities and deliverables for several SOC transformation workstreams.
• Coordinate cross‑functional, global teams and stakeholders to deliver automation, detection and response improvements.
• Maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers, dependencies and governance artefacts.
• Align project outcomes with business objectives, cybersecurity strategy and technical delivery.
• Support onboarding of new business entities, platforms and assets into the SOC operating model.
• Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior leadership and programme stakeholders.
• Facilitate decision‑making, issue resolution and execution across workstreams.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large‑scale cybersecurity or SOC transformation projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in a global environment.
• Ability to define project scope, goals, KPIs and governance structures.
• Experience with risk identification, mitigation and reporting to senior leadership.
