Regional Financial Controller

About the role

The Regional Financial Controller will be based in our Europe Regional Office in Marseille and will act as the key link between the Head Office Finance Department and the local entities. You will ensure high‑quality, consistent financial information across the network while supporting strategic initiatives such as M&A and internal projects.

Key responsibilities

• Control subsidiaries' financial performance, including audits, month‑end closings, consolidation and dividend distribution.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and oversee Group finance projects and M&A transactions.
• Coordinate with Shared Service Centers (FiCOM and GBS) to improve efficiency and promote cost‑saving initiatives.
• Support Head Office Treasury strategy by managing bank coverage and cash optimisation for the region.
• Serve as the primary interface with Head Office finance functions (accounting, tax, legal, treasury, Group financial control, IT accounting, and exploitation systems).
• Contribute to the development and animation of the Finance network and drive organisational enhancements.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree (5‑6 years) in Finance from a Business or Engineering school, or at least 7 years of finance management experience.
• Experience in audit or transaction services is a plus; shipping or logistics background is an asset.
• High ethical standards, integrity and respect for confidentiality.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, planning and organisational abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
