Procurement Manager – 3‑Month Rolling Contract (Toulouse)

About the role

Our client, a global biotechnology organisation, is seeking a Procurement Manager to support a new‑build therapeutic protein production facility in Toulouse. This 3‑month rolling contract role will oversee indirect spend, facility and laboratory services, and ensure procurement processes align with safety and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of three buyers, providing structure, guidance and performance oversight.
• Manage global category strategies for indirect spend, OPEX and CAPEX related to facility and laboratory services.
• Act as backup for CAPEX projects involving laboratory equipment.
• Ensure compliance with complex procurement governance within a matrix organisation (global vs. local).
• Coordinate communication with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in procurement or buyer roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.
• Strong seniority in people management, with a track record of leading procurement teams.
• Experience in indirect procurement and global category management.
• Familiarity with matrix‑based governance and large‑scale facility projects.
