Operator / Service Technician – Wind Energy (Nord)

About the role

Join Vestas, a leading wind energy company, as an Operator / Service Technician in the Nord region of France. You will work on wind farms, ensuring turbines operate at peak performance throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform periodic service inspections following Vestas specifications.
• Replace and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
• Monitor turbine conditions and operate remote‑control systems.
• Maintain a fully stocked service vehicle and warehouse, ordering materials and spare parts as needed.
• Assemble major components using internal or external cranes according to work instructions.
• Adhere to the highest safety and environmental standards while meeting service targets.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma with technical experience (maintenance, electrical engineering, mechanics) – preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree, BTS/DUT in industrial, electrical or mechanical engineering, certified by BZEE – required for technician level.
• 2–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or electricity, with high‑voltage knowledge.
• Proactive communication with customers, flexible and autonomous work style, and willingness to travel.
• Technical English proficiency (written and spoken) and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to work at height.
