Network Engineer – Fortinet Equipment Installation (Contract)

About the role

OurSupport is seeking a reliable on‑site Network Engineer to carry out a one‑off installation of Fortinet security appliances at a client location in Gensac, France. The project is paid on an hourly basis and requires the engineer to follow remote instructions, complete the physical installation, and provide clear photographic evidence of the work.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unpack and assemble Fortinet FG‑61F‑HA devices on site.
• Rack‑mount the equipment and secure it according to best practices.
• Connect power cables, WAN and LAN links using copper or fiber as required.
• Power on the devices and verify successful boot‑up.
• Document the installation with photos of the rack, power connections, and network cabling.
• Submit completion evidence and any notes on issues encountered.

Required profile

• Proven experience in on‑site IT field support and network hardware installation.
• Comfort with rack mounting, copper and fiber cabling, and firewall/router/switch deployment.
• Ability to follow remote instructions and provide clear, concise photo documentation.
• Fortinet experience is a plus but not mandatory if the candidate is confident with general equipment installation.
