Level Designer – Puzzle Games

About the role

Voodoo is looking for a passionate Level Designer to join a newly created internal studio focused on a high‑potential puzzle prototype. Based in Paris with relocation support, you will work closely with engineers, artists and product experts to shape engaging levels and refine core gameplay.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test and iterate on challenging puzzle levels that keep players engaged.
• Develop and fine‑tune game mechanics and features to enhance the core loop.
• Analyze player data, metrics and feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineers and artists to implement level designs.
• Plan, run and monitor A/B tests to validate design decisions.
• Balance difficulty curves across all levels to maximise retention.
• Stay informed on hybrid‑casual and puzzle market trends and competitor titles.
• Contribute to the product roadmap and strategic direction for the game.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience in game design, level design or a related role within mobile gaming.
• Strong passion for mobile puzzle and hybrid‑casual games.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and make data‑driven decisions.
• Understanding of player psychology and engagement drivers.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Fluent in English.

• A/B testing methodologies.
