Global Utility Engineer – Utilities & Safety

About the role

Royal Canin is seeking a Global Utility Engineer to lead safety and performance across its utility portfolio. Based at the Aimargues campus, you will work onsite, collaborating with engineering teams worldwide to ensure compliance, efficiency and alignment with Mars’ 2040 GHG targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and enforce utilities safety standards during site visits and corporate audits.
• Own the full scope of steam, hot water, compressed air, nitrogen production, water treatment, HVAC, chillers, heat pumps, heat recovery, sprinkler and fire detection systems.
• Maintain a centralized database of utility installations and develop Royal Canin‑specific standards.
• Create budgeting tools, asset handover material, maintenance checklists and spare‑parts recommendations.
• Lead conversion and efficiency projects supporting the transition to natural and ultra‑low GWP solutions.
• Represent Royal Canin in the PETCARE Utility Team and collaborate with Mars Petcare, MGS and external suppliers.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering.
• Strong technical expertise in industrial utilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver impactful presentations.
• Project‑management experience.
