EASA B1 Support Staff – Aircraft Maintenance Lead

About the role

ATR is seeking an experienced EASA B1 Support Staff member to lead aircraft repair teams and provide technical assistance to customers at its main maintenance base in Francazal, France, as well as on worldwide locations. The role combines hands‑on maintenance oversight with coordination of technical resources to ensure safe, on‑time, and cost‑effective aircraft return to service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead repair activities for ATR aircraft, supervising technicians and apprentices.
• Conduct damage assessments after major events and certify work according to approved packages.
• Ensure compliance with OEM requirements, approved methods, and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate work sheets, inspection schedules, logbooks and maintenance records.
• Report defects and coordinate rectifications promptly.
• Verify that tools, equipment and parts are serviceable and approved.
• Support the upkeep of ground support equipment and ensure safety of all operations.
• Travel off‑site for extended periods (up to 12 consecutive weeks) as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of aviation maintenance experience, including at least 5 years in a support role on the ATR family.
• Valid EASA Part‑66 licence with Mechanical (B1) rating and ATR 42/72 type ratings.
• Strong English communication skills for negotiations and reporting.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal abilities.
