DevOps Engineer (AWS & Terraform Specialist)

About the role

Symbiotic Security is looking for a DevOps Engineer to own the reliability, scalability, and security of its AWS cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with the Site Reliability Engineer to build production‑grade platforms using Terraform and to extend the company’s footprint across Europe and the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain modular AWS infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Collaborate with the SRE to harden EKS clusters, including networking, RBAC and core infrastructure.
• Expand the AWS environment to new regions, addressing latency and data‑residency requirements.
• Implement DevSecOps practices: least‑privilege IAM, secrets management (Vault/KMS), and automated security checks (SAST/DAST) in GitHub Actions.
• Benchmark AI model performance on Amazon Bedrock and support the upcoming SOC 2 Type II audit.

Required profile

• Background in software development before moving into DevOps.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience managing production workloads on AWS, with strong networking and security knowledge.
• Advanced Terraform expertise, including module creation, state management and CI‑driven workflows.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts and Linux internals.
• Experience in early‑stage startups and familiarity with SOC 2 compliance is a plus.
