Construction Manager – 18‑Month Contract in Blois

About the role

The Construction Manager will support daily construction, material handling and industrial activities on site in Blois, France. Working autonomously, you will ensure safety, quality and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in Daily Direction Setting meetings to identify safety risks and propose improvements.
• Approve and coach on safety permits, and act as safety coordinator for high‑risk tasks.
• Lead construction activities, including truck unloading, material handling and equipment delivery.
• Provide construction planning input, adjust schedules for unexpected events, and support small‑scale projects end‑to‑end.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, project managers and operations leaders to resolve safety deviations.

Required profile

• Full autonomy in a construction team with a clear understanding of responsibilities and deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of safety and quality standards in industrial environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, operations leaders and subcontractors.
• Fluent in English and French.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (certification preferred).
• Aerial platform operation (optional).
• Electrical certification H0/B0 (ideal but not mandatory).
• Crane operation experience.
• Material handling and truck unloading expertise.
• Safety permit approval and coordination.
• Construction planning and project adjustment.
