Confirmed Backend Engineer - Payment Squad

About the role

Join a fast‑paced engineering team focused on building secure, scalable, and reliable payment systems that serve millions of users worldwide. You will work on end‑to‑end payment experiences, ensuring smooth transactions, fraud prevention, and compliance across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Develop and scale payment systems covering the complete transaction lifecycle, fraud prevention, and compliance requirements.
• Integrate and maintain multiple payment methods and collaborate with external payment service providers.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver user‑centric solutions.
• Ensure high platform reliability, performance, and scalability through strong engineering and operational practices.
• Share technical expertise with cross‑functional stakeholders and contribute to architectural discussions.
• Collaborate within an agile squad while owning backend services and payment‑related features.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in fast‑growing, product‑focused environments.
• Strong proficiency in Java and hands‑on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Practical experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools such as Datadog.
• Solid understanding of service‑oriented architectures and ability to apply appropriate patterns.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fluent in English.
