AI Software Engineer Intern

About the role

Qantev is an AI company transforming health insurance by applying machine‑learning and generative AI to insurers’ claims data. As an AI Software Engineer Intern you will bridge cutting‑edge research and production‑scale software, building high‑performance, multi‑step Agentic AI pipelines that power our core products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production‑grade Agentic AI pipelines and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) applications.
• Contribute new features and enhancements to the core platform, including APIs, data‑processing pipelines, and user‑facing applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable code in Python and TypeScript, adhering to high quality standards.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, improving system speed and development velocity.
• Collaborate with data‑science and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into technical specifications.
• Gain expertise in a cloud‑agnostic environment and learn scalable software architecture practices.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Master’s or Engineering degree at a Tier‑1 university.
• Builder mindset – proactively create tools to solve bottlenecks.
• Comfortable navigating large, sophisticated codebases with minimal guidance.
• Strong foundation in computer‑science fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, and OOP design.
• Product‑oriented thinking – write code that delivers real user value.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Python
