Telecom Engineer – MS Teams Telephony

About the role

HCLTech is looking for a Telecom Engineer specialized in Microsoft Teams telephony to join its Paris client site. The role is part of a broader IT team responsible for workstations, directory services, messaging platforms, and security, and it operates in an international, transformation‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor telephony infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Plan, execute, and roll back service changes after thorough impact assessments.
• Provide Level 3 support for complex telephony incidents and troubleshoot issues for end users.
• Contribute to ongoing and new telephony and workplace IT projects.
• Participate in cross‑functional meetings to align telephony strategy and share technical insights.
• Produce and keep up‑to‑date documentation, including procedures and Design Acceptance Tests (DATs).

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in telecom engineering or related fields.
• Fluent French (C1) and proficient English.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities for senior‑level responsibilities.

Required skills

• MS Teams telephony solutions.
• Softphone platforms such as NTT, ODIGO, AWS Connect, Cisco, Genesys.
• Legacy telephony systems (Cisco, PABX).
• Azure AD and AD Connect integration.
• PowerShell scripting.
• Windows Server services (AD, DNS, DHCP).
• Session Border Controller (SBC) infrastructure.
