About the role
The Installation Technician apprenticeship at KONE involves supporting the installation of elevator equipment, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery while interacting with customers on site.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the equipment installation environment during installation activities.
- Communicate daily with customers on‑site for installation and logistical matters.
- Execute safe, high‑quality installations following KONE methods.
- Report installation progress to the supervisor and order replacement parts when shortages or damage are identified.
- Maintain installation tooling in good condition and ensure proper storage and handling of equipment.
- Coordinate with builders to avoid interruptions and follow the A.M. manual and field updates.
- Receive, check and store materials, and carry out installations according to prescribed methods and schedules.
- Submit time‑keeping reports, quality feedback forms and warranty claims.
- Provide feedback to improve products and may train or coach trainees and helpers as required.
