Technicien de maintenance itinérant

About the role

KNAPP FRANCE is seeking a field maintenance technician to ensure the reliability and performance of its customer installations across France. The role involves traveling to client sites, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance actions, propose continuous‑improvement measures and implement adapted solutions.
• Record equipment downtime, update availability calculations and ensure contractual service commitments are met.
• Diagnose complex failures autonomously, handle level‑1 to level‑3 faults, and coordinate with senior technicians or technical support when needed.
• Perform corrective, curative and imperative interventions according to defined procedures and client schedules.
• Maintain and update preventive‑maintenance plans, repair or modify equipment to maximise client satisfaction while respecting safety rules.
• Advise clients on critical spare parts, manage stock movements and conduct periodic inventory checks.
• Mentor new maintenance technicians and provide training as required.
• Report regularly to supervisors or clients and identify commercial opportunities during service visits.

Required profile

• Technical education equivalent to a BTS in Maintenance, Mechanical & Industrial Automation or Electrotechnics.
• Ability to work independently on customer sites with a company vehicle.
• Strong analytical skills for fault diagnosis and documentation.
• Good communication skills to interact with production teams and clients.
