Technical Writer II

About the role

Regal Rexnord is looking for a technical writer based in La Guerche-sur-l'Aubois. The role covers writing and updating technical instructions and all technical documentation for the company's products, for customers, users and commercial events, and also formats marketing support materials such as catalogues, technical sales brochures and videos. It reports to the Research and Development Manager and works closely with the marketing manager of the Stromag Europe division.

Key responsibilities

• Write and implement technical instructions for new products and adaptations of standard products, based on information from the design office technicians and engineers, and submit them for review
• Translate these documents into English and other languages through external service providers when needed
• Create new documents or media on request, using advanced software
• Update the Sime/Stromag catalogue annually and write the R&D newsletter every two months
• Format all printing media and apply the group's graphic charter to all communication media
• Ensure photos, videos and audio are royalty-free and come from an authorised soundtrack, and keep intranet documentation up to date
• Number and manage indices for communication media, and keep a rigorous, consistent presentation across documents

Required profile

• Very good technical knowledge (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical, electronic)
• Fluent French writing skills
• Written and spoken English
• Knowledge of the graphic charter

• Adobe suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) for document layout
• SolidWorks, Master Composer & Visualize for renderings and animations, and After Effects for video editing
