System Designer – Windows & Rain Protection

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a System Designer specialized in windows and rain‑protection equipment for its Cockpit Design, Windows and Furnishing department in Toulouse, France. You will join the 1YAKC team responsible for developing, certifying and supporting cockpit window systems across civil and military programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and certify windows and rain‑protection equipment, ensuring compliance with performance and safety requirements.
• Define technical specifications, operational objectives and qualification test plans.
• Monitor equipment performance in service and support in‑service follow‑up activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manage technical exchanges and oversee qualification testing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cockpit system development (e.g., ABD100).
• Strong background in thermal and mechanical engineering.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis and communication abilities.
