Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

This position supports the aerospace supply chain by ensuring that all supplier‑delivered components meet the highest quality standards. The specialist will work on‑site in Pau, France, on a 3‑to‑6‑month fixed‑term contract, handling variable weekly hours based on project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and author non‑conformity reports and related documentation.
• Lead, assess, and investigate supplier quality issues.
• Identify improvement opportunities across teams and stakeholders.
• Coordinate corrective actions and improvement plans with suppliers.
• Provide technical support and coaching on quality tools to team members and stakeholders.
• Act as a mentor and contribute to the department’s strategic planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years experience in aerospace.
• Minimum 7 years experience in quality assurance.
• Hands‑on experience with manufacturing and inspection of complex aerospace assemblies, including casting, forging, and metal‑sheet components.
• Extensive problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis expertise.
• Proficiency with problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D, PDCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and Poka‑Yoke.
• General knowledge of aerospace quality systems and international standards.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to read blueprints, apply GD&T, and verify dimensional properties.
• Familiarity with inspection equipment: CMM, comparator, micrometers, thread gauges, and calipers.
• Independent expert capable of working without supervision.
