Subsidiary Accountant – EMEA

About the role

Polène is looking for a Subsidiary Accountant to support its rapidly expanding European operations. Reporting to the Subsidiary Accounting Lead, you will ensure the accuracy and reliability of accounting records across multiple EMEA entities while collaborating with local accounting firms and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly ledger extracts, review the General Ledger and perform account reconciliations, including intercompany and payment methods.
• Compile accruals and support month‑end closing activities.
• Produce monthly reporting extracts for external accounting firms in Germany, Italy, Denmark, and Australia, acting as the primary liaison.
• Execute cash transfers to the parent company according to the group cash‑management plan and monitor cash flows.
• Coordinate with store managers to reconcile POS sales, cash, and card transactions, and assist during new store openings.
• Collaborate with financial analysts on modification requests and serve as a point of contact for tax, accounting, and administrative matters across Europe.

Required profile

• Higher education degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in general accounting.
• Strong understanding of GL processes, reconciliations, and cash management.
• Rigorous, autonomous, and team‑oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English; ability to work in an international environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with SAP (a plus).
