Strategic Buyer – Electrical Systems (PELG)

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Strategic Buyer to join the Electrical Systems team within the Equipment and Systems Procurement department in Toulouse. You will shape the sourcing strategy for energy storage and conversion solutions, driving tender processes and contract negotiations to optimise cost, revenue and EBIT contribution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the sourcing strategy for the energy storage & conversion perimeter, including call‑for‑tender management.
• Lead commercial negotiations and draft contracts to secure optimal purchasing conditions.
• Monitor contract performance throughout its lifecycle (innovation, development, serial production, support).
• Drive supplier performance across quality, logistics, cost and support while managing supply‑chain risks.
• Collaborate with multifunctional teams (program, supply chain, engineering, customer services) to align strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic procurement, complex tendering or contract management.
• Strong background in commercial negotiations, contract lifecycle management and financial analysis (TCO, EBIT contribution).
• Demonstrated ability to develop sourcing strategies and lead RFP/RFQ processes.
• Experience working on R&T projects and mitigating supply‑chain risks in a cross‑functional environment.
