Solutions Architect – Contract (Hybrid) in Strasbourg

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to join our team in Strasbourg on a contract basis. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while designing and delivering robust architecture solutions for a diverse portfolio of software, cloud and data projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of end‑to‑end solution architectures across on‑premise, virtualized and cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Collaborate with development and operations teams in an agile setting to ensure architectural alignment and technical feasibility.
• Produce detailed architecture models using tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect.
• Define and enforce security best practices, including data protection and biometric considerations where applicable.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and developers.

Required profile

• University degree in IT or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of overall IT experience, including a minimum of 5 years as a technology, data or applications/services architect.
• Proven experience in software development and agile project delivery.
• Hands‑on experience with on‑premise, virtualization and cloud‑based infrastructures.

Required skills

• OCP (Oracle Cloud Platform) expertise.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Kafka.
• TOGAF practitioner certification.
• Proficiency with Sparx Enterprise Architect for modeling.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and virtualization technologies.
• Experience applying security best practices and tools; biometrics knowledge is a plus.
