Solution Manager – Satcom Services

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Solution Manager for Satcom Services to join its Services & Support department in Toulouse. You will define, develop and manage innovative satellite communication solutions that align with the Space Digital strategy, overseeing the full solution lifecycle from concept to deployment and ongoing service.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers, product developers, engineering, procurement and sales to ensure market‑fit of the satcom portfolio.
• Lead sales involvement for accurate requirements definition, CONOPS creation and business case development.
• Support sales in shaping and optimizing customer RFPs, communicating Airbus capabilities versus expectations.
• Maximise solution competitiveness and profitability through make/buy/partner decisions and portfolio alignment.
• Guide R&D allocation for solution building blocks and influence early‑stage technology spend.
• Provide internal and external consultancy on satcom domain topics.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in solution management or product management.
• Proven experience in satellite communications or related aerospace sectors.
• Strong ability to work across sales, engineering, procurement and customer teams.
• Experience developing business cases, CONOPS and supporting RFP processes.
