Solidarity Network Animator – Secours Catholique Poitou

About the role

The Solidarity Network Animator will develop, animate and support networks of solidarity actors across one or more territories within the Poitou delegation of Secours Catholique. Working closely with volunteers, local partners and the church, the role aims to strengthen collective action for people in precarious situations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support and coaching to volunteers, especially those in leadership positions, to enhance their competencies.
• Assist volunteer teams in evaluating and reflecting on their missions while ensuring alignment with the needs of people in difficulty.
• Promote sharing, mutual aid and collaboration among local teams within the same territory.
• Facilitate partnerships with social and associative actors to broaden the impact of solidarity actions.
• Link Secours Catholique initiatives with local pastoral dynamics of the Church.
• Design, propose and coordinate collective action strategies for one or more territories, in partnership with local solidarity actors.
• Contribute to transversal thematic projects for the delegation and coordinate with regional and national teams.
• Participate in delegation-wide events, territorial meetings, and inter‑team dynamics.
• Share best practices and help build a common vision for the delegation’s associative project.
• Support fundraising activities, including end‑of‑year campaigns.
• Engage in regional or national working groups and animator sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum Bac+2 qualification in animation, social work, community development or a related field.
• Experience in coordinating volunteers, community projects or solidarity networks.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Commitment to the values of solidarity and inclusion.
